JMP – who are we and what is our story?

The JMP company has been operating in the construction machinery industry since 1997, gaining the trust of many customers during this time. Initially, the company was only a division of an importer of forklifts, but the experience gained allowed us to enter the market as a direct importer of new and used transporters.

High qualifications and many years of experience of our employees allowed us to extend the range of our services with professional service and consulting. We also conduct specialist training.

We have gained the trust of European Funds and thanks to the grant received with the project entitled “Establishment of the JMP Logistics Center by the company JMP Forklift Paluchiewicz Spółka Jawna” in 2021, we start operations related to contract logistics.

What is contract logistics?

An advanced logistics service covering a number of operations that are carried out in the warehouse. It is based on the outsourcing of logistics services, from unloading a shipment through deconsolidation, complementation, labeling and more.

It’s main goal is to transfer the course of warehouse processes to an external company, which is to reduce the costs of internal logistics.

When designing our services, we focus on the specificity of each client and their expectations regarding the outsourcing of logistics processes. The result is a tailor-made service that increases the overall efficiency of our partners’ operations.

Customs procedures in stock – not so scary

As a logistics center, we also act as an broker in the field of customs services, we offer consulting services to help manage international trading.

Goods entering the territory of the EU at each border point are subject to the transit procedure (T1, TIR etc.). For various reasons (lack of documents, reloading, etc.), the goods are not always immediately reported for final clearance when they only appear with us, which means no less and no more that no customs duties are collected on them (customs, excise duty, VAT). It is therefore necessary to release the means of transport, end the transit and not to clear the goods for the time being, but only to temporarily store in order to remove obstacles to valid customs clearance.

What customs procedures can be performed at the JMP Logistics Center?

A cargo with a non-Union status can be placed:

– in the temporary storage warehouse

– at a place approved or designated by the customs authorities

Temporary storage always requires the provision of a security. In the case of a warehouse, it is a flat-rate security, submitted together with the application for the opening of such a warehouse, and in the case of an approved location, the security is submitted each time.

The declaration of goods for temporary storage, regardless of whether it is in a warehouse or an approved location, requires the submission of a DSK document – temporary storage declaration. In this way, we notify the customs authority where and for what purpose the goods that have not yet been cleared are located.

What is a temporary storage warehouse?

The period of storage in the temporary storage facility may not exceed 90 days. The place must be clearly separated and fenced, with the possibility of applying seals – the fencing should prevent access to the goods after affixing the customs seals. Monitoring, health and safety conditions and fire protection met. Its operation is allowed after obtaining the permission from the customs authority.

What is an approved (designated) place, what is the difference between it and a temporary storage facility?

It is a designated place in the warehouse and approved by the customs authority, it can be the entire warehouse or its separate part. Thanks to this solution, the customer (owner, custodian or carrier) can make a customs declaration in import or export in the so-called simplified procedure at this point. As a result, there is no need to transport cargo vehicles to the premises of the Customs Agency or the customs office.

Objective:

– Customs agencies can report a loaded car to customs clearance in the warehouse (stop

customers). A convenient way to do business.

– No need to drive to the Customs Office (skipping the queue).

– Possibility of on-the-spot customs inspection.

The difference between an approved location and a temporary storage facility is that the storage in an approved or designated location cannot exceed 3 days or 6 days for an authorized consignee (recipient who is authorized to end transit procedures himself)
